About Legendary Estates
Mark Nova
Back in 2007, Mark Nova rezzed for the first time in Secondlife and after learning more about how things worked and things that you could do in this vast world, he had an interest in the club scene and how they worked. Mark along with his best friend Chris Criss (aka Chris Crisis) became DJs for various clubs around Secondlife.
Mark was a keen builder and in his spare time, he would start out on a project from building homes to castles, in order to do so, back then there was vast sandbox regions where anyone could go and build anything and at no cost to you. However, these sandbox regions became a hotspot for drama and grief from others who would purposely rez large prims over what your building and constantly distracting people from what they are doing.
Mark decided that it was best that he look into private regions, as mainland regions are laggy, most of them look horrible with alot of eye-sore builds so he rented some private land from an established estate at the time so he had his own space to work on his builds without interruption from others.
He had got to know the estate owner well and became good friends with them and was contracted to help with the sales of vacant land on the estate. After getting more experience of how to manage land and doing well with sales and helping tenants with issues they had, Mark was promoted to an Estate Manager position and helped with the management of many regions.
After a short time being in his estate manager position and gaining higher access to the estate systems, Mark learned that the estate owner had been committing bad practices and had been falsely making tenants think that they had been getting a better deal than they actually had been. One example of this, was back then full regions came with 15,000 prims, so each 1/4 sim could only ever have 3750 prims, but he had the region setup so that it was showing tenants they had 4250 prims on their land although they only infact had 3750 prims.
So if every tenant on their 1/4 tried to use all their prims, it would not work as 500 prims per 1/4 was falsely there and did not actually exist for them to use and the estate owner had been treating tenants with no respect and all they cared about was that the land was rented and took very little to do with the tenant afterwards nor did they care to help them against the likes of people that caused grief or attack huds that came to their land.
After finding all this out and seeing the true colours of the estate owners, Mark parted ways from the estate along with an estate agent called Kincz who also did not want any involvement with any of the bad practices they had been doing.
So Mark decided to make his own estate with Kincz...
M&K Estates
In late 2008, Mark & Kincz decided to found their own estate and became 50/50 partners to create M&K Estates. Mark wanted to offer people a place for them to rent land with great value, customer service & transparency.
Chris Criss had become M&K Estates first tenant on the first region of M&K Estates which was named Legendary Isle which was the first of many regions in a shorts the word had spread about our estate for offering better value and providing tenants with the best customer service possible on the whole grid.
In 2010, the situation in the real world had changed for Kincz, it was with a heavy heart that she wrote Mark a heartfelt letter of her situation and her intention to leave both Secondlife and M&K Estates indefinitely.
Mark wished her the very best in her RL and for her happiness. so Mark was now the sole owner of M&K Estates but without the "K" of M&K, He felt that it needed to be changed and thought that it was best to rebrand the estate name moving forward...
